August is almost here. The gladiolas are still coming along. I always complain about having to stake them so they don't fall over--and some of them do anyway--but they are such gorgeous flowers. The phlox are coming in everywhere as well. You need smell-a-vision to fully appreciate the phlox. The morning glories have started as well. And the hibiscus. Of course, a few lily are still about. One mystery this week. When I go to Lowe's, I always go the sale racks in the back. Earlier this year I found an iris on sale. That was an easy buy. But this week it started to bloom--in July of all things. And the blooms do not look like an iris at all. Something strange is going on. Beautiful, but strange.
