Today at Iten's Acres: Another Summer's End August 7, 2016

And so the days as a hermit come to an end. Another summer gone, and I must go back to civilization. I'm sure the flowers at The Acres will bloom without me. My feathered friends will greet each day with song. And I'm sure I can still sneak in an early morning walk or an after school stroll--or both. The Posse will be on their own trusting in their wildness. The Homesteader will be in charge of the cave doing whatever she does all day long. I'm sure I'll hear all about it when I get home each day. Another senior class will be at my mercy--and I at theirs. I still have work to do at The Acres, but I will have to hire some folks to do that. Seventy has caught up with me. Closer Home every day. Thank you, Lord, for another restful summer lavished with the beauty of your creation. Your generosity is overwhelming. You are, indeed, the Father who gives good gifts!
