It's going to be burst of color week at The Acres. The redbud are in
full bloom. The flowering almond are at their pink fluffy best. The crab
apples--red and white--are exploding. The old apple tree is a cloud of
white. The pears are pinkish white clouds of their own. The old dogwood
should be in its full white regalia by the end of the week. The
flowering plum with their deep purple leaves and starry white blooms are
out. Pink dogwood and magnolia are on the verge. And!!!! the first
iris bloomed. A dwarf bronze and blue. Pictures will come when it stops
raining. Takes me an hour to creep down the driveway and take it all
in. That and I'm old and slow.
