Going to be a busy day at The Acres--and elsewhere. A few of the iris
are starting to bud--may their tribe increase. The pond is in full white
crab apple siege. The grass up front really, really, really needs to be
mowed. And I need to get right to it. Lunch date with the family at
two. Two strange occurrences at The Acres. First, one more interesting
than strange. A robin has decided that my mail box should be his nest.
Three times I have emptied it. By the time I get home
in the evening--new nest. Quick builders. They don't seem to mind
reading my mail either. Second strange thing--and it's really strange.
There was a crow this morning attacking a rabbit. Relentless pursuit.
And the rabbit was bigger than it was. Weird. Too bad it wasn't a hawk
looking for rabbit stew. Ahh, well. A few pictures for you. The riding
mower is calling my name.
