The Canopy--2018

Once upon a time the canopy up near the house was actually just that--a canopy.  My hope was to fill it with bleeding hearts of all shapes, sizes, and yes, even colors.  But alas it has become overgrown with dogwoods.  The birds don't mind--lots of berries, but the old man is going to, hopefully clear it out this winter so that it's more of it's "original" environment.  Don't fear for the birds--there is plenty of food around for them, I promise.  Here's what's here now--the star being a candle flower that blooms in mid-August.  As mentioned, it is also filled with Lenten rose.
