Bed 18

As strange as this may seem, this is not a generic name for a bed.  A couple of summers ago I was battling a bad back and needed help finishing a couple beds.  The Class of 18 came to the rescue.  They helped with another bed as well, but every bed can't have the same designation.  This year, then, 2018, was the first year for this beauty.  It's double blocks of about eight by eight--so it's kind of big.  As always, the iris in here didn't bloom in year one, so I'm expecting lots of blooms in 2019.  I put a bunch of annuals in here this summer and most of them did quite well.  The bed was gorgeous right up until frost.  And one iris bloomed!  And the lilies outside of the bed.
