The Romanelli Bed--another prayer reminder--is the second largest bed on The Acres. It is located between Bed 18--named for the class that helped me build it--and the West Side. It is a fairly new bed--this was the first year the entire bed was complete. Shaped like a box with two long legs attached, it is loaded with a variety of flowers. The month of March has crocus, hyacinth, and daffodils. May has iris, tulips, allium, a ton of pink evening primrose, and Japanese iris. June brings dianthus, roses, bee balm, and lilies inside and out, and poppy mallow. July is crocosmia and phlox. August blazing star and butterfly weed. And in September a couple of re-blooming iris. It's a season long bloom. Snapdragons love it in here as well--and reseeded this year. Nice place to visit.
