West Side 2018

The West Side of The Acres--up front--stretches all the way up to the house; it doesn't have the bog in the way.  There's a beautiful pine half way up the side and a gorgeous red barbarry right before you get to the pine.  A hawthorn is here that was planted when I arrived and as yet has not bloomed.  The birds and I are both disappointed.  How old does the thing have to be to start blooming?  A couple pussy willow bloom every year and a white crab apple, a sunflower, and a host o hibiscus.  A daffodil shrub--I don't know what it actually is--still blooms but parts of it are dying.  A new Rose of Sharon bloomed this fall and a forsythia bloomed in early spring.  Lots of things are growing here and maybe someday they will actually bloom.  Who knows?  Hey the hibiscus are gorgeous in July and August.
