Memorial Bed 2018

Another bed along the driveway is Mom's Memorial bed.  I really need to re-do it--maybe over Thanksgiving break weather permitting.  It's a pot bunker that sits just on the other side of the mound area.  Outside of the bed are an animal snacked on rhododendron, a peony that never blooms, and three lilies of various yellows.  Inside are some iris--two dwarf iris bloomed in late April.  A number of monkshood are in here as well.  One is huge! ten to twelve feet tall.  Always the last thing to bloom, they add a deep dark blue to the trek home each evening.  I will have to be sure not to harm them when I do the make-over.
